DTClassified is a peer-to-peer marketplace. We don't take custody of the items you buy or sell, but we do everything we reasonably can to keep the platform safe: fraud detection, ID verification, hidden phone numbers, a 24×7 trust team, and clear policies on what can and can't be listed.

This page is a plain-English summary. The full Community Guidelines and Terms of Service are linked at the end.

You can't list any of the following on DTClassified:

• Weapons & ammunition — including air guns, replicas, swords, knives over 9".
• Drugs & related items — including any tobacco for minors, vapes, hookahs, and so-called "legal high" substances.
• Live animals as food — adoption of pets is fine; meat trade isn't.
• Counterfeits — fake branded goods, replica watches, knock-off electronics.
• Adult services or content — of any kind.
• Stolen goods — IMEI checks run on every phone listing.
• Currency, lottery tickets, financial instruments — of any description.
• Government documents — Aadhaar cards, passports, certificates of any kind.

This isn't exhaustive. If you're unsure, ask — but if it feels shady, it almost certainly is.

The blue tick means a seller has verified at least their phone number plus one government ID. We use third-party KYC vendors that are RBI-registered. Your raw ID is never shared with buyers; only the badge and a masked initial.

Listings are auto-scanned at post time. Suspicious ones go to manual review before going live. Anything reported by a user is reviewed within 4 hours. Severe violations (scams, illegal items) result in immediate account suspension — milder ones get a warning and listing removal.

Repeat offenders get banned across phone, IP, and device. We share data with law enforcement when legally required.

DTClassified is a venue, not a party to your transaction. We don't take responsibility for the condition, legality, or safety of items, or for whether buyers and sellers honour their agreements. We do, however, have a strong incentive to keep bad actors off the platform — and we do.

If you're scammed, report immediately. We'll investigate, take action against the offender, and help where we can — but we can't refund private transactions.

We store the minimum necessary to operate. Phone numbers, listings, chat history, and verification documents are kept encrypted at rest. We don't sell your data to third parties. See the full Privacy Policy for specifics including retention periods.
