It started with a stuck mattress.
In late 2021, our co-founder Aanya tried to sell a perfectly good queen mattress on the existing classifieds apps. Three weeks, 14 chat threads, two no-shows, and one buyer who tried to scam her with a 'delivery OTP' later — she gave up and threw it out.
The next morning, she called Rahul. 'There has to be a better way.' A weekend of furious whiteboarding turned into a prototype, the prototype turned into a Series A, and four years later DTClassified is the platform we wished we'd had that weekend.
We're a remote-first team of 84 people across Bangalore, Mumbai, and Delhi NCR. Backed by Sequoia India, Lightspeed, and an embarrassingly enthusiastic group of angels.
